La Libertad is one of the important producing clusters in Huehuetenango, where many famous farms are located. The area is known for it high altitude producing coffees. The small producers rarely have access to the specialty market due to some farms producing very small lots. This lot brings together small producers located in the mountain ranges of La Libertad, Huehuetenango. This region is blessed with abundant water supply, the land is very fertile and most of these families have planted the Caturra variety traditionally and keeping some Bourbon and Typica among others, varieties well adapted to these mountain peaks.
